How to deal with Karil. I recently started Barrows and I'm currently on 23 chests. Every run I'm having the most trouble with Karil. I've tried two methods so far: melee and Magic. With the melee route I'd dds spec him and finish him off with a Dragon Scimitar. With Magic I'd autocast Iban's Blast. I seem to be killing him much slower than any .... Now gg imvu

The main use for Karils is Magic Defence and I believe it is the strongest Magic Defence armor without a Melee Attack negative, which is why you might see it used more for Melee than for Ranged. Arma c'bow if you can afford one. -No degrading. -Much higher damage when hitting and running (180s, etc) -Cheaper, depending on the ammo you use. -1 handed - you can use a shield or prayer book to conserve your supplies, etc.While I was mindlessly doing Barrows the other day I noticed people bouncing around a lot and doing the Brothers in different orders. It’s always good mage defense but it’s okay to skip. void bottoms are better mage defense than god d’hide by +1 or +2 and if elite it has more prayer. Karil's is better but only very marginally so it's probably not worth using over d'hide once you facotr in repair costs. mage def barely matters at zulrah since the only magic damage you take is from the mage snakelings, and karil's range defense is barely better than black d'hide (+4 total from top and bottom).
